A major earthquake of 6.2 magnitude occurred on Wednesday (23 April 2025) in Istanbul of Turkia. Its center was in Marmara Sagar near Istanbul. Turkish AFAD Disaster Agency said that it is one of the most powerful earthquakes that occurred in this city in recent years. The earthquake was at a depth of 10 km from the ground.
The center of the earthquake was located in the Marmara Sea, about 40 km southwest of Istanbul. According to media reports, thousands of blindings have been evacuated. The effect of this earthquake was also felt in neighboring countries like Bulgaria, Greece and Romania. The earthquake caused chaos all around, people came in panic.
