The Government of India has strongly objected to the incident of egg throwing by some chaotic elements during the Rath Yatra, taken out in Toronto, Canada. Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal called it “unfortunate” and said that this is completely against the spirit of the festival, which promotes unity and social harmony.
