Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa starrer ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ was released in theaters on Diwali. This film has proved to be a dark house. Actually, no one had expected that such a film would be successful in making its mark in the theatres, especially despite the clash with ‘Thama’ which had three times more shows, ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ has performed strongly. ‘Ek Deewane Ki Diwaniyat’ has done wonders. This intense romantic drama film has been successful in winning the hearts of the audience. This has become the highest grossing film of Harshvardhan Rane’s career. And the interesting thing is that despite the competition this week with new releases like ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ and ‘The Taj Story’, it is performing well. It even overtook Thama on the 14th day of its release.

Talking about the collection of the film, it had earned Rs 55.15 crore in the first week. Then on the second Friday its earning was Rs 2.35 crore. After this, its collection on second Saturday was Rs 3.15 crore while on second Sunday it earned Rs 3.75 crore.

  • According to the early trend report of SACNILC, on the second Monday i.e. on the 14th day, the film has collected Rs 1.65 crore.
  • With this, its total domestic box office collection has now reached 66.05 crores.

Although the total collection of ‘Thama’ is more than that of ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’, but as far as the mass circuit is concerned, the Milap Zaveri directorial has overtaken ‘Thama’ in its second weekend, and is also earning more in multiplex areas like East Punjab. In Bihar, it has crossed the Rs 3 crore nett mark in just thirteen days, leaving behind all other romantic films and romantic-comedies except ‘Sayara’.
