Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda said on Friday (October 31, 2025) that the Bihar assembly elections are a fight between the dark era of jungle raj of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the development era of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government.
In an election meeting in Bikram, Patna, the capital of Bihar, BJP President JP Nadda said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Bihar has moved rapidly on the path of development and we have to keep this path safe. He said, ‘One crore government jobs and other employment opportunities have been guaranteed in the NDA election manifesto. If the alliance comes to power again, new doors of employment will open for the youth of Bihar.
He further said, ‘There is also a proposal in the manifesto to change the name of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi for farmers to Karpoori Thakur Samman Nidhi, under which farmers will get a total of Rs 9,000 in three equal installments throughout the year. Earlier, farmers were given installments of Rs 2,000 three times.
Union Health Minister targeted RJD
Targeting Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Nadda said, ‘RJD means extortion, jungle raj and bullying.’ He said that RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav raises the issue of migration to Bihar, whereas his father Lalu Prasad himself used to say that when Biharis go out, they wear gamchha and when they return, they wear suit and tie.
He said, ‘There was a time when the sound of generators used to echo in the villages and cities of Bihar, but today electricity has reached every house. Today there is internet in every village, due to which the content creators and influencers of Bihar are making their mark in the digital world.
More than 5 crore Biharis benefited from Ayushman Bharat scheme – Nadda
Union Health Minister JP Nadda said, ‘The Nitish Kumar led government has given financial assistance of Rs 10,000 to 75 lakh women. If NDA gets a chance again, an amount of Rs 2 lakh will be given to every woman to make her self-reliant. He said that under the Centre’s Ayushman Bharat scheme, health insurance coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh is being provided to 62 crore people of the country, including more than 5 crore Biharis.
Rs 200 crore approved for construction of pucca roads in villages – Nadda
While campaigning in support of candidate Siddharth Saurabh from Bikram Assembly constituency of Bihar, Nadda said, ‘He laid the foundation stone of the Trauma Centre, approved the construction of a bridge in Naubatpur which will solve the traffic problem. Rs 200 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of metalled roads in villages. BJP spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said that Nadda’s scheduled public meeting in Buxar district had to be canceled due to rain and bad weather.
