The nomination process for the post of state president of the party was completed on Friday at the JDU state office in Patna. Current state president Umesh Kushwaha once again filed nomination for the post of president. Despite the last date of nomination, no other leader has filed nomination for this post, hence it is believed that Umesh Kushwaha will be elected unopposed as JDU state president for the third consecutive time.
Many senior party leaders and public representatives were present during the nomination of Umesh Kushwaha. His proponents included MP Ramnath Thakur, Bihar Government Minister Lacey Singh, Minister Shravan Kumar and many party MLAs. All the leaders supported his name and got the nomination process completed.

After the nomination, Umesh Kushwaha said that an important meeting of JDU MLAs has been called under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at 5 pm on Friday evening. This meeting will be held at the Chief Minister’s residence, in which the current political situation will be discussed. He said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will talk to the party MLAs and present his views regarding the current political situation.

Bihar government minister Lacey Singh also described the meeting as important and said that there will be a meeting of JDU MLAs at the Chief Minister’s residence at 5 pm, in which Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will be present. He said that it is natural for the workers to be emotional towards the Chief Minister, because Nitish Kumar has worked for the development of Bihar in the last 20 years and the party workers have also supported him at every step.
