Before leaving on Samriddhi Yatra, CM Nitish Kumar had called a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, January 13, 2025. A cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister in the Cabinet Room of the Chief Secretariat in which 41 agendas were approved. The meeting has been important in many ways. Many important decisions have been taken in the cabinet meeting to fulfill the promises made by Nitish Kumar NDA to the people of the state during Bihar Assembly elections 2025. The decision of recruitment on about 739 posts has also been approved in the cabinet.
Decisions related to employment, new appointments, promotion of industries have been approved. Approval was given to install 9073 CCTV cameras in 13 jails of Bihar. An amount of Rs 155 crore 38 lakh 36 thousand 153 will be spent in this.
Administrative approval of Rs 314 crore 20 lakh 59000 has been given for the construction of Bihar Bhawan in Mumbai. Approval has been given for 534 posts of various posts in the Agriculture Department and 160 posts of Plant Protection Inspector i.e. a total of 694 posts.
Approval has been given to reinstatement of 200 posts in the Dairy, Fisheries and Animal Resources Department. Approval of Rs 138 crore 82 lakh 88 thousand was received for the acquisition of 50 acres of land for the construction of logistics park and cargo hub near Darbhanga Airport.
Approval has been given for 45 academic posts in Government Polytechnic Bagaha. Funds have been exported to 779 secondary high schools of Bihar. The educational qualification for conductor’s license is 8th class.
Cabinet approved the MoU regarding sharing of Son River water with Jharkhand. Out of 7.75 million acre feet of water, Bihar will get 5.75 million acre feet of water and Jharkhand will get 2 million acre feet of water.
