American billionaire and Tesla CEO Elon Musk is preparing an ‘army’ of robots. Describing his planning, Musk said that he wants to create a big robot army and in the next few years, 1 million units of Optimus robots will be made. Tesla, which makes electric vehicles, is developing Optimus robot. During the company’s quarterly results, Musk said that Optimus could become Tesla’s most important project so far.
Musk has big expectations from Optimus
Musk has great expectations from the Optimus robot and believes that this robot has the potential to become the biggest product ever. He said that this robot has been designed to work with 5 times more efficiency than a human. Musk has also demanded from the company’s board to give him full authority over this project.
Optimus is being prepared for these tasks
Optimus is being designed to handle repetitive and difficult tasks in manufacturing, logistics, healthcare and household support. The company is designing it to work like a human. Musk said that these robots can create a world where there will be no poverty and everyone will get excellent medical facilities. This robot will also be able to work as a surgeon. Optimus was introduced during the Tesla event in 2023 and since then it has been continuously in the headlines. Recently a video of this robot was revealed, in which it was learning kung fu.
Optimus is in testing phase
Since 2023, the company has intensified work on Optimus and now it has reached the testing phase. A few days ago, Musk had said that Optimus runs completely on AI and there is no need to tele-operate it. This means that it can move comfortably and react to actions without any human control. Its production prototype will be ready by the beginning of next year and its mass production is expected to start by the end of next year.
