Emraan Hashmi told about his acting and his different roles that an actor evolves through such roles. Emraan told that there was a time when he too got fit in one type of roles. Films were becoming blockbusters. Then he felt that he should do some variety of roles and at the same time Ekta Kapoor offered him Once upon a time in Mumbai, the character of Shoaib was completely different from his personality. But Ekta said that you have a range which Bollywood has not seen yet and I think it can come out in this film. Emraan further said that Bollywood has lost its connection with the audience. Describing about Haq, Emraan said that his film spreads social awareness in the society and it also touches human emotions.
