Actually Moeen Ali has taken back his retirement to play domestic cricket. He has signed the contract of Blast for the 2026 season. He will be seen playing for Yorkshire County Cricket Club. It was also told that the contract of the English all-rounder can extend till 2027 also.

Yorkshire issued a statement on the signing of Moeen Ali, writing, “Yorkshire is very pleased to announce the contract with the legendary all-rounder Moeen Ali. The two-time World Cup-winning player will join the club for this season’s Vitality Blast and will also have the option to extend his contract until 2027.”
No talk on return to international cricket
However, it is worth noting that there was no update regarding Moeen Ali’s return from international retirement. At present he has only talked about playing the Blast Tournament.

Talking about Moeen Ali’s international career, he has played 68 Tests, 138 ODIs and 92 T20 International matches for England. In Tests he scored 3094 runs and took 204 wickets. Apart from this, he scored 2355 runs in ODIs and took 111 wickets. In the remaining T20 International, Moeen Ali scored 1229 runs and took 51 wickets in his account.
