The 182 -run partnership of Root and Bethel had broken the back of South African bowlers.
In this match, England had a 59 -run salute partnership by Ben Docket and Jamie Smith. Smith scored 62 runs and Docket contributed 31 runs. Joe Root scored 100 runs in 96 balls and scored the 19th century of his ODI career. On the other hand, Jacob Bethel played a rage of 110 runs in 82 balls.
