Ethiopian ambassador on pahalgam terror attack: Ethiopia Ambassador to India Fesha Showel Gabre strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April. He directly blamed Pakistan for this terrorist attack, in which 26 civilians were shot dead by Pakistani terrorists. However, during this time he also appreciated India’s accurate reactive action under Operation Sindoor and also mentioned the shared struggle of Ethiopia and India against terrorism.
Ethiopian Ambassador Grebrey told the news agency ANI on Tuesday (May 21, 2025), “A delegation of India is going to visit Ethiopia by the end of May and he will share information about India’s action under terrorist attacks and operations vermilion in Pahalgam.
Pakistan is fully responsible for Pahalgam attack: Ambassador
The Ethiopian Ambassador said, “Ethiopia has condemned this terrorist attack. At the same time, India reacted with great responsibility and they did not promote the situation in any way.”
He said, “Pakistan is clearly behind this terrorist attack, people did not go from India to create problems in Pakistan, but Pakistan terrorists came and created problems in India. They were identifying people on the basis of religion. It is very terrible and absolutely unacceptable.”

On fighting terrorism, he said, “Just as India is fighting terrorism, Ethiopia is also struggling with terrorism in East Africa. In the end of May, a delegation from India is also coming to Ethiopia, who will share information about terrorist attacks and India’s action.”
Pakistan attacked, India gave a befitting reply
After the attack by Pakistan -backed militants on 22 April in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, India started ‘Operation Sindoor’ on 7 May to give a befitting reply to Pakistan. Under this operation, India targeted and destroyed 9 terrorist bases located in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK).
