The losing team will play the final
Now the mathematics of the losing team playing the final is that all the teams coming after losing at least one match in their respective groups have been placed in Group 2. These are Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and England. Where the top 2 teams from India, West Indies, Zimbabwe and South Africa will not be able to play the final.
