When I used to watch boys playing in the street, I became interested in playing cricket as well. Seeing my father and the rest of the family playing cricket, I later made it my career. Initially, Meghna had to play cricket with boys, because no other girl played cricket and Meghna Singh did not like the games played by girls.

How much salary did you get for playing the first match?
Meghna Singh, resident of Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, first made it to the list of top 40 players of the state team. After this, in the year 2010, Meghna was selected in India’s Under-19 team. When Meghna Singh was asked how much salary did Indian players get for playing a match at that time, the Indian cricketer said, ‘When I played my first match for the Under-19 team, I used to get a match fee of Rs 1,000.
Journey from 1 thousand to 1 lakh
Indian pacer Meghna Singh told in a conversation that when she started playing for India’s Under-19 team, she used to get a fee of one thousand rupees for one match and then she used to get to play only 4 or 5 matches in a year, but as the wheel of time changed, women also started getting better match fees in Indian cricket and along with this many league matches also started. Meghna Singh told that in her house cricket is not only watched but also played. In such a situation, she has been associated with cricket since the beginning. Meghna Singh has been following veteran Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan since the beginning. Meghna said that ‘Zaheer Khan has always been my inspiration in cricket. Seeing my father inspired me to play cricket, but whenever I watched cricket in my childhood, I used to follow Zaheer Khan. I am also a fast bowler, so I have always been watching him.
