Amidst the political turmoil regarding the assembly elections in Bihar, Union Minister and LJP (R) chief Chirag Paswan has had a special conversation with ABP News on many issues including seat sharing. On the question of bargaining regarding seat sharing in the assembly elections, Chirag Paswan said that if there was a bargainer, I would have crossed 35 seats. I surrendered for the betterment of the NDA alliance.
Union Minister Chirag Paswan further said, “How could I demand more seats than this.” BJP and JDU are contesting elections below 100. I wouldn’t want this myself. We do not have to contest elections within the alliance, we have to contest elections from the Grand Alliance.
Seats were distributed using a simple formula – Chirag Paswan
He also said, “When big parties in the grand alliance are contesting elections on more than 125 seats, then why don’t our parties also contest elections on more than 100 seats.” So below 100 I don’t send them myself. When it does not go below 100, how many seats are left, only 40-42 seats are left. All three of us have to be included in it. A simple formula was worked out that give 6 assembly seats to one Lok Sabha. In such a situation, I was still left with one seat less.

What did Chirag say on the allegations of ticket sale?
On the question related to allegations of ticket selling, Union Minister Chirag Paswan said, “I had heard a lot during the Lok Sabha also. Just ask the person who has made this allegation whether he has proof for it? Nowadays this has become fashionable. When we are in politics, we are in public life. If you are fond of listening to ‘Zindabad’ then you will have to develop the habit of listening to ‘Murdabad’ also. Allegations and counter-allegations will continue. If ever someone comes forward with any proof that I have done something wrong, I will myself give clarification on it.
