Yadav reacted to Azam’s release after about 23 months from Sitapur Jail and said, ‘The way Chief Minister (Yogi Adityanath) has withdrawn his cases. Not only his but also the Deputy Chief Minister (Keshav Prasad Maurya) and all the BJP leaders have withdrawn the cases. All the false cases have been filed on the formation of SP government, Azam Khan Saheb will work to withdraw.

23 months later, Azam Khan, 23 September 2025, was released from Sitapur Jail on Tuesday. He came out of jail at around 12.30 pm and left for Sitapur directly. He is accompanied by sons Adeeb Azam and Abdullah Azam Rampur from Sitapur.
