A massive explosion took place in a firecracker factory in Saraye Barai village of Tikait Nagar police station area in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh. In this accident, two people died on the spot, while three others were seriously injured. The injured have been referred to the district hospital for immediate treatment. As soon as information about this incident was received, the police force reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations.
According to the information, the work of manufacturing firecrackers was going on in the factory. After the blast, a large part of the factory building collapsed. The sound of the explosion was heard far and wide and there was chaos in the surrounding area. Local people said that the explosion was so powerful that the surrounding walls shook.
