On the 14th day of the ongoing war in the Middle East, massive blasts took place at many places including Azadi Square in Iran’s capital Tehran. According to Iran’s state TV, on the last Friday of Ramadan (Quds Day), demonstrations were being held in the capital of Iran against America and Israel, in which slogans of Allah Hu Akbar were being raised. Many people were present at Azadi Square where the blast took place near this rally.
Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani also participated in this International Quds Day rally. During Quds Day, speeches are given in support of Palestine in many countries including Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan. At the time of the blast, thousands of people were present here, who were raising slogans against America and Israel. It is being told that Iran’s supreme leader Mujtaba Khamenei was also going to come to this rally.
According to the report of news agency Associated Press, Israel had warned of an attack on Iran just before the blast. Israel had warned of airstrike near Tehran University on the day of Friday prayers.
