Possibilities of change in index
According to a report published in The Economic Times, Trent’s performance has been weak for the last few months and its shares have fallen from their all-time high to almost half the level. Due to which the possibility of it being out of Sensex has increased. On the other hand, Hindalco shares are showing continuous strength.
Due to this rise, the market cap of the company has also increased. Due to which there is a possibility of the company being included in the Sensex. Although no major changes are expected in Nifty 50 at present, there may be some important changes in Nifty 100 and Nifty Next 50 indices. Due to which the trading volume in these indices is likely to increase.
These shares may get a chance in the index
According to the report, in the coming time, Tata Motors, Muthoot Finance, HDFC AMC, Cummins India and Union Bank of India can be included in Nifty 100 and Nifty Next 50.
It is being told that the entry of these companies can be in place of Bajaj Housing Finance, Info Edge India, JSW Energy, Havells India and ICICI Lombard General Insurance. If this happens, the market position of these shares is likely to strengthen further.
