British f-35 Fighter emergency landing: The state-of-the-art F-35B Stelth fighter aircraft had to make an emergency landing at the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport in Kerala on Saturday night. According to the information received, the aircraft had to withdraw its scheduled flight due to fuel deficiency and it was launched at the nearest alternative airport due to security reasons.
This jet is connected to British Navy aircraft carrier
This high -tech fighter jet is part of the Career Strike Group operated by the British Navy aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales. This group is currently posted in the Indo-Pacific region and has recently completed a joint exercise with the Indian Navy.
F-35B is equipped with special technology
Military airlines say that such emergency landing is rare, but not completely impossible. F-35B is a state-of-the-art 5th-generation fighter aircraft, which is designed with a short tech-off and vertical landing (STOVL) capacity. Due to this special design, this aircraft is able to fly and return from the aircraft carrier without any additional launch system. Although it is not clear why this aircraft could not return to its vessel, initial reports states that bad weather around the Prince of Wales could be the reason for this.

Its stealth technology, electronic warfare capabilities and network -based data sharing capabilities make it an important part of the modern aerial strategy of countries such as America, Britain, Israel and NATO.
Till Sunday morning, this fighter aircraft stood at Thiruvananthapuram Airport. So far, no formal statement has been revealed about this emergency landing from neither Britain’s Ministry of Defense nor Lockheed Martin.
