Bollywood actress, Cancer Survivor and social activist Manisha Koirala has recently been awarded an honorary doctoral degree of doctorate by the United Kingdom’s Prestijius Bradford University. At the same time, the actress spoke openly on politics, health and life in an event hosted by the here and now 365 at The Chambers at Taj 51 Buckingham Gate, London. In a conversation with Manish Tiwari, the founder of the here and now 365, Manisha Koirala also talked about her Bollywood career and remembered how she started an official training without any official training. He told, “I did not complete even 12th class and suddenly I was standing next to Dilip Kumar and Rajkumar on the set of a film!”
Fame had put a deep impact
Manisha has worked in her career in fantastic films like ‘1942: A Love Story’, ‘Bombay’ and ‘Dil Se’. Recently, she was in the role of Mallika Jaan in the web series Heera Mandi. At the same time, he confessed that the fame had made a profound impact on him. Manisha said “I got tired. I kept working 18-19 hours a day … slowly, I was losing direction.”

Manisha Koirala also shared the journey to fight and overcome ovarian cancer. He said, “When the doctor told me that I have cancer, I thought, I just happened. I will die. But by the grace of God, I did not die. I learned to live again.”
Manisha’s future planning
During the discussion, Manish Tiwari conveyed Manisha that she could lead the global film project to showcase Nepal. To this, Manisha smiled and replied, “This is a seed you have sown today … let’s see what rises.”
