Along with this, CM Rekha Gupta said, “As a special respect to the brave soldiers, the Delhi government has decided to make the film tax-free in Delhi from November 28.” She said that this film throws light on the inspirational leadership of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati.

Ticket prices will reduce so much

Obviously, after becoming tax free, the ticket price of 120 Bahadur has reduced. There is now a uniform GST rule on movie tickets across the country. If the ticket price is less than Rs 100, then five percent GST is applicable. At the same time, if the ticket is more than Rs 100, then 18 percent GST has to be paid.

Half of the tax on tickets is from the state and half from the centre. In such a situation, if the Delhi government makes the movie tax free, half the tax will be eliminated. That means, where five percent tax was levied on Rs 100 ticket, now only two and a half percent will be levied. Apart from this, where 18 per cent tax was levied on tickets costing more than Rs 100, now only 9 per cent will be levied.

That is, if the price of your ticket is Rs 300, then on purchase it becomes Rs 354 with 18 percent tax, but after the movie is tax free in Delhi, you will get the ticket of Rs 120 for Rs 327.
