Farmer id to revolutions Agriculture Schemes One Card for All Benefits

It is going to be even easier for crores of farmers of the country to take advantage of farming schemes. As part of a new initiative, the central government has planned to give a unique ‘Farmer ID’ to the farmers, which will act exactly like the ATM card. With this ID, farmers will be able to get the benefit of all the schemes of the government and there will be no need to submit the documents again and again.

What is Farmer ID? (What is farmer id)

The ‘Farmer ID’ will be an 11 -digit unique identification number, which will be linked to the Aadhaar number. In this, the name of the farmer, the area of ​​farming, the crops sown, the GPS location of the land, the benefits of government schemes in the previous years, etc., all the information will be recorded digitally. This initiative is being introduced under the ‘Agristac Project’, which will be implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.

Who will be the beneficiary of it?

Every farmer who does farming will be a part of this scheme. The special thing is that separate IDs will also be made for the farmers whose land comes under joint Jamabandi. Part of farming land will be divided into every farmer and registration will be done so that everyone can get the benefit of the schemes.

What will be the benefits?

Benefits like 6000 annuals available under PM Kisan Yojana will be available directly and without additional documents.
Facilities like crop insurance scheme, subsidy, farmer credit card loan, and crop purchase on MSP will be available rapidly and easy and easy.
Farmers will also be able to get advice, soil testing, and weather -based information on digital platforms as per their farming needs.
Farmer ID will increase transparency in the schemes and farmers who have not yet got the benefit of the schemes, will also be able to identify them easily.

Application and procedure

State governments are collecting data of farmers to get Farmer ID. This will include information about Aadhaar card, Khatauni, mobile number and bank account. Soon this facility will be started through online portal and CSC (Common Service Center).

Why is it necessary?

Even today, there are many farmers who cannot get full benefit of the schemes, sometimes due to lack of documents and sometimes due to lack of information. But after the arrival of Farmer ID, every farmer will get a digital identity, so that he will get a direct and transparent benefit of every scheme.
