Abhishek Sharma has created history in the third T20 match against New Zealand. He has become the second fastest batsman to score a half-century for India. In this match, he completed his fifty in only 14 balls. Till reaching fifty, he hit 5 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. Abhishek has become the second fastest batsman for India and the third fastest fifty in the world.

Second fastest fifty for India

Yuvraj Singh holds the record of scoring the fastest half-century for India in the history of international T20 cricket. He completed fifty in 12 balls against England in the 2007 T20 World Cup. This still holds the world record for the fastest fifty among ICC full member countries.

Abhishek Sharma has now come at par with New Zealand’s Colin Munro in this list, who scored a half-century in 14 balls against Sri Lanka in 2016.
