Such a case has come to light in the Thariyav police station area of Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh, where a girl, who had been circling the police station for 3 days, committed suicide by hanging herself out of remorse after not being heard. After which the police of Thariyav police station woke up and hastily registered a case and are assuring the family members of the proceedings.
The family members are creating ruckus by accusing the police of negligence. The family members stopped the police from lifting the body when they demanded to call higher officials on the spot. After which the station in-charge is filling the claim for quick action.
What is the whole matter?
Basant Lal Diwakar, a resident of Aurai village of Thariyav police station, said that 18-year-old daughter Khushboo Devi committed suicide by hanging herself on the doorknob inside the house on Tuesday evening. The marriage of the deceased’s brother was on 15th February. Neighbor’s bully protested and beat her for washing utensils on the road in front of the wedding door. It is being told that the village bullies Ramesh and Raja came and started abusing. When there was no one at home, the domineering Ramesh called more than half a dozen of his associates, entered the girl Khushboo Devi and her sister-in-law Savita, humiliated them and beat them up by dragging them on the road.
He was insulted in front of the entire locality, on which a written complaint was given in the police station on the 15th itself, but the police scolded him and sent him away from the police station. Went to the police station the next day also but no action was taken. Hurt by this, Khushboo Devi committed suicide by hanging herself.
Questions are being raised on the police
The family alleges that if the police had heard the matter at the right time and taken action against the bullies, the girl would not have committed suicide. On which the family members created a ruckus accusing the Thariyav Police of negligence and refused to pick up the body, asking higher officials to come to the spot and do justice. Thariaon police station in-charge Rajendra Singh said that as soon as the matter came to notice, a case was registered and the family members of the accused were taken into custody and interrogated.
