Actually, Deepika Padukone had reached Madhya Pradesh on the occasion of World Mental Health Day. Here he celebrated the completion of 10 years of his foundation Live Love Laugh. During this time he was asked whether he ever felt that he had to pay a price for demanding what he felt was right? Deepika answered this question very thoughtfully.
Deepika said, “I have done this on many levels, this is not a new thing for me. I think even in terms of things like payment, I had to deal with whatever I got. I don’t know what to call it, but I always fight my battles quietly. And for some strange reason sometimes they become public, which is not my style nor was I brought up like this. But yes, fight your battles and do it quietly. And doing it with dignity is my way.”

She said, “If it sounds like pressure being a woman, then so be it. But it is no secret that many superstars, male superstars in the Indian film industry have been working 8 hours a day for years and it has never made headlines.”
She further said, “I don’t want to take names right now and don’t want to make it so big, but it is a very common thing, many male actors are publicly known who have been working for 8 hours for years. Many of them work only 8 hours from Monday to Friday, they do not work on weekends.”
