Well-known filmmaker MM Baig has passed away. Apart from being a famous filmmaker, MM Baig was also the father of the popular child artiste of the 80s, Baby Guddu. At the age of 70, MM Baig used to live alone in his house in Mumbai. When the neighbors did not see him coming out of the house for 4-5 days, the police were informed. After which the filmmaker was found dead in his own house.

This sad news has been informed to news agency PTI by Baig’s publicist Hanif Zaveri. Zaveri told that, ‘He was ill for a long time. When he did not come out of the house for four-five days, the neighbors complained to the police about the foul smell coming from his house. When the police opened the door, they found Baig Saheb’s body. After this his daughter was informed about this. Between 1.30 and 2 o’clock the body was taken to Cooper Hospital for post-mortem. He was a very sweet person. I pray for the peace of his soul.

As an independent director, MM Baig had made films named ‘Razia Sultan’ in 1983, ‘Agreement’ in 1980 and ‘Chhoti Bahu’ in 1994. Apart from this, he worked as an assistant with many famous producers and directors in the initial phase of his career. These films include films like ‘Aadmi Toy Hai’, ‘Jaisi Karni Vaisi Bharni’, ‘Karz Chukna’, ‘Kishan Kanhaiya’.

MM Baig Saheb was a famous film maker of the 80s, but his daughter Baby Guddu was even more popular than him. Babi Guddu was seen in almost every film of the 80s. Baby Guddu has been seen in films like ‘Aakhir Kyun’, ‘Nagina’, ‘Pyar Kiya Hai Pyar Karenge’ with big stars like Anil Kapoor, Sridevi, Smita Patil, Rajesh Khanna.
