A similar accident happened in October also
Earlier in October, a fire broke out in Brahmaputra Apartments, located at a short distance from Delhi Parliament House. At that time, it was told that wooden furniture was kept in the basement and due to bursting of firecrackers nearby, it caught fire, which had become serious with time.
As soon as the information was received, 6 fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and after hard work the fire was brought under control. The people present in the apartment immediately came out of their homes.
The fire department received this information at 1.20 pm on October 18. During that time most of the people were out of their homes for work. There were children and elderly people in the house. Local people had alleged that despite calls, fire brigade vehicles had arrived very late. People said that if the firefighters had arrived on time, there would not have been so much damage. However, the fire team said that as soon as they received the information, they rushed to the spot and the fire was brought under control in time.
