Bareilly Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anurag Arya said on Friday night that the police and forensic team reached the spot as soon as the incident was received. He said that many empty kiosks were recovered from outside the house and the investigation of the case has been handed over to the crime branch. He informed that CCTV footage is being searched and an alert has been issued regarding the network of Gagster Goldie Brar. The SSP said that he himself met the Patni family and assured him that the police will give him protection. Police has been deployed. When the firing took place outside the house of the Patni family located in Villa No. 40 of Civil Lines area, Disha Patni’s father and retired DSP Jagdish Singh Patni, mother and Major sister Khushboo Patni were present in the house.
