Eyes will be on ROKO
Once again all eyes will be on Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the Indian team. Both of them had performed brilliantly in the ODI series against South Africa. Kohli is fast moving towards 100 centuries in international cricket. In such a situation, he would like to score at least two centuries in this series also. King Kohli had scored two centuries in three matches against South Africa.
Michael Bracewell is the captain of New Zealand team
In the absence of many key players in the New Zealand team, Michael Bracewell will lead the team. Regular captain Mitchell Santner is out of the ODI series due to a groin injury, while Tom Latham has returned home for the birth of his first child. Former captain Kane Williamson is fulfilling his T20 commitments in the SA20 League in South Africa. Rachin Ravindra and fast bowler Jacob Duffy have been rested. Matt Henry, who is returning from a calf injury, is focusing on the T20 series keeping the T20 World Cup in mind. During this time, the performance of tall all-rounder Kyle Jamieson and 23-year-old leg spinner Aditya Ashok will also be kept an eye on. Jayden Lennox has been included in the team as a similar option to Santner. The batting is strong with the presence of players like Devon Conway, Daryl Mitchell, Henry Nicholls, Will Young and Glenn Phillips among many new and inexperienced faces in the New Zealand team.
