Actually, this matter started with the talk of investing in the film. According to media reports, Vaibhav Mane, a resident of Sangli, was introduced to Palash Muchhal by Smriti’s father Srinivas Mandhana. It was told that Vaibhav and Smriti are friends. Reportedly both of them met in December 2023.
Promise of profit by investing in film
Palash had talked to Vaibhav about money to invest in the film ‘Nazariya’. Vaibhav reportedly invested Rs 40 lakh in the film. Vaibhav was told that he would get his profit as soon as the film was released on OTT, but the film was never made. In case the film was not made and released, Palash did not return Vaibhav’s money.
After this, Vaibhav took the help of the police and handed over the documents confirming his claim of being given money to the Superintendent of Police. Apart from this, Vaibhav told that Palash wanted him to invest in the film. The film could not be released, after which Vaibhav asked for money and after waiting for several months he approached the police.
Accusation of cheating Smriti Mandhana
It is noteworthy that Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal were to get married in November last year. The wedding rituals also started on the fixed date, but in the meantime news came that Mandhana’s father’s health deteriorated. Then after a few days it was made clear through an official statement that the marriage would not take place now. Let us tell you that Mandhana and Palash were with each other for about 6 years.
