When Chief Justice DK Upadhyay submitted a report of fire in the house of Judge Yashwant Verma to CJI Sanjeev Khanna, it mentioned the currency getting a currency from his house in a half -conditioned condition. However, Justice Verma rejected the matter of getting the money and said that he was not aware that there was cash in his storeroom. He directly said that we were neither shown nor handed over a sack of burnt posture. However, this is not the first time that a judge is accused of corruption. Let us tell you that for the first time an FIR was registered against which judge of the High Court.
SN Shukla was accused of corruption
During the Allahabad High Court judge, the CBI registered a case of corruption against Justice SN Shukla in December 2019. He was accused that he had helped by passing a favorable order to a medical college in Lucknow for money. In such a situation, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Ranjan Gogoi, had allowed the CBI to register a case under the Prevention of Karps Act against SN Shukla of the High Court. This was the first time in history that the Supreme Court had allowed the CBI to register a case regarding the High Court judge.
What is the whole matter
Actually, this whole matter is related to Prasad Institute of Medical Sciences on Kanpur Road. This is of SP leaders BP Yadav and Palash Yadav. When the Medical Council of India visited here in the year 2017, it was found that basic facilities are not good. There was no complete standard for medical studies. After this, the order was received that 46 medical colleges of the country including Prasad Institute should be banned from not meeting the standards, and the ban was imposed.
Justice SN Shukla’s bench gave the decision
After this, the Prasad Institute approached the Supreme Court, but the bench of the then Chief Justice Deepak Mishra did not give relief to the medical colleges. He then filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court. It was heard by the bench of Justice SN Shukla. Justice SN Shukla allowed Prasad Institute to take new admissions. After this, there was a stir in the rest of the medical colleges and the control of Justice SN Shukla started tight.
