Mahashivratri in Haridwar: Today, on the occasion of Mahashivratri, a huge flood of faith gathered in Haridwar, devotees took Ganga water from Har Ki Pauri and proceeded towards Shivalayas. Thousands of Shiva devotees are reaching here from every corner of the country and the entire city is echoing with the chants of ‘Har Har Mahadev’.
Right from Brahmamuhurta, devotees are taking bath at Har Ki Pauri, filling Ganga water and then leaving for various Shivalayas for Jalabhishek. At the Daksheshwar Mahadev Temple in Kankhal, Haridwar, the Brahmamuhurta Aarti of Mahashivratri was organized with devotion and gaiety.
