On the eve of New Year, different programs are being organized at many places, in which people are preparing to welcome the New Year in their own ways. In this sequence, a huge flood of faith gathered at Har Ki Pauri in the religious city of Haridwar in Uttarakhand. Here, a voice of reverence was visible in the Ganga Aarti and a wonderful sight of faith was seen.
Thousands of devotees from every corner of the country participated in the holy aarti of Mother Ganga and earned virtuous benefits. As the evening approached, the whole atmosphere became devotional with the lighting of lamps, chanting of mantras and echo of hymns at Har Ki Pauri, where the devotees were seen engrossed in the Aarti of Mother Ganga.
During Ganga Aarti, a huge crowd of devotees gathered at the ghats, due to which a flood of faith was seen at Har Ki Pauri. Devotees prayed to Mother Ganga for happiness, peace and prosperity. There was special enthusiasm in the entire area to welcome the New Year, the police and administration remained fully prepared in view of the security arrangements, while the devotees greatly appreciated the divine experience and spiritual atmosphere of Haridwar.

Along with Har Ki Pauri, preparations for the New Year were seen at many places across Haridwar. In view of the increase in the number of pilgrims on the occasion of New Year, the police and administration have also made all arrangements. Apart from this, programs are also booked in hotels and restaurants. Police has appealed to all the citizens to celebrate the New Year peacefully so that no untoward incident happens. Along with this, security arrangements have also been tightened at the ghats.

Along with Haridwar, local people are also arriving in Rishikesh, Dehradun, Mussoorie in large numbers to celebrate the New Year along with tourists. Regarding which an alert has already been issued to Uttarakhand Police. Mussoorie and Nainital are completely packed. In view of the problem of parking, people have been stopped here.
