Significantly, the organizers unveiled Messi’s visit to India on 15 August itself. Now Messi’s statement on Thursday also confirmed this. Messi will travel to 4 cities in India. On December 13, Messi will first visit Kolkata. After this he will go to Ahmedabad, Mumbai and New Delhi. The visit will conclude on 15 December with a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This Argentina superstar will attend several programs during the tour of India. These include concerts, meeting sessions, ‘Food Festival’, football masterclass and even a paddle exhibition at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium.
Messi’s program in Kolkata will be held at the Salt Lake Stadium. This stadium will host this veteran for the second time. Where he will be part of ‘GOAT Concert’ and ‘GOAT Cup’ on 13 December.
Messi’s ‘GOAT Cup’ is expected to share the grounds with Indian sports heroes like Sourav Ganguly, Baichung Bhutia and Leander Paes. Organizers are also planning to unveil a 25 -foot high mural picture during the Durga Puja festival. Along with this, the biggest statue of Messi will also be inaugurated so far. The price of tickets for these programs is expected to start from Rs 3,500.
