Taking care of heart health is important for everyone. For this, along with taking a healthy diet, daily exercise is also important. Regular exercise is beneficial for both men and women. But do you know that to take care of heart health, men should do twice as much exercise as women.

A recently published study in cardiovascular research states that men need to exercise more than women in a week. This is completely contrary to global health standards that promote equal gender treatment. In such a situation, let us know what this study says.

What came out in the study?

According to NHS and international guidelines, everyone should do 150 minutes of moderate exercise a week. A recent study has revealed that women can maintain better heart health than men even by doing less exercise. In fact, the study has found that 150 minutes of exercise in a week reduces the risk of heart disease in women by 22 percent, but in men this risk is reduced by only 17 percent, which is much less than that of women. It has also been found that women with heart disease have 3 times less chances of dying as compared to men.

reasons behind it

1. One of the biggest reasons for this can also be hormonal influence. Actually, hormones affect heart health in different ways in men and women.
2. Muscle fiber composition is also quite different in women. In such a situation, this could also be a reason for this change.
3. Also, energy is used more rapidly in the body of women. Due to this, less fat or cholesterol accumulates in the body and heart health remains good.

What is its solution?

In such a situation, instead of ignoring the results of this study, it is necessary to issue gender specific guidelines for exercise. Additionally, exercise time can be increased through cardiac rehabilitation programs and heart health can be taken care of.
