For the first time after 4 months of Operation Sindoor, the forces of India and Pakistan are going to participate in some exercise together. India and Pakistani armies are also going to participate in the ongoing Multinational Military Exercise ‘Japad’ (1-17 September) running in Russia.
According to the information, 70 member teams of the Indian Army will take part in this military exercise running in Russia from 9 September. This party is going to leave for Russia on Monday. For the first time since 2021, Russia has organized a multinational military exercise, as Russia’s army was busy in war against Ukraine since February 2022.
Forces of 20 countries are taking part
According to the information, a total of 20 countries including India, Pakistan and Russia are going to participate in Russia’s Japad exercise. It also includes China. It is believed that SCOs will participate in the SCO i.e. the forces of members and country-related forces. The SCO includes countries of Central Asia including India, Pakistan, China and Russia.
Generally, two groups are formed in this exercise to be held in Russia. The forces of the parties taking part are divided into two groups. In such a situation, there is a possibility that India and Pakistan will be kept in different groups. India will be placed in Russia’s group and Pakistan with China.
Indo-Pak armies also exercised in 2018
In the year 2018 too, the Army of India and Pakistan took part in the SCO exercise in Russia’s Cheberkul (Chelyabinsk Province) for the first time. For the first time after partition in 1947, the forces of India and Pakistan took part in a common exercise. During that time, Russia had worked to melt the snow between the two amidst the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan since the surgical strike (2016).
These days, the Indian Army is participating in two big exercises with America. India and American bilateral exercise war exercises (1–14 September) are going on in Alaska, while Multination Exercise Bright Star in Egypt, in which all three organs of India (Thal Sena, Air Force and Navy) are participating. Bright Star organizes the exercise of Egypt (Egypt) and the Central Military Command of America.
