Rakesh Bedi plays the character of Jamali, a politician from Karachi who supports gangster Rehman Dacoit played by Akshay Khanna. But Ranveer Singh, an Indian spy hiding in Rehman’s gang, forces Jamali to turn against his protégé so that he can gain political and personal gains. Rakesh Bedi’s layered acting has been highly appreciated by both the audience and critics.

The casting of Dhurandhar has received a lot of praise. Talking about this, casting director Mukesh Chhabra said, ‘I like to surprise people. This is my casting philosophy. He further said, ‘I always keep thinking, how to surprise them? How to give a new twist to these characters?
