Aadhaar is issued after strict verification
Before Aadhaar is issued, there is a process of verification of enrollment data, demographic and biometric matching. The data is securely uploaded to the central ID repository. Where automatic validation, application testing and manual quality checks are done. In such a situation, if the data does not meet the prescribed standards or matches with any other person, then the application can be rejected. The Aadhaar number is issued only after all the investigations are completed and the identity of the person is confirmed.
