Cricketers Tribute Indian Army: The IPL 2025 has resumed after the 9 -day break. The tournament was suspended for a week due to tension between India and Pakistan. At the same time, it was announced after the Indo-Pak ceasefire that the tournament will start again from 17 May. Now all the teams have come together again, meanwhile, foreign players are giving tributes to the Indian Army. It has been possible that the IPL 2025 has been resumed after a few days of war -like situation that has flourished due to the spirit of the Indian Army.
England veteran cricketer Kevin Peterson shared a picture of all the captains in IPL 2025 and expressed happiness that the thrill of the Indian Premier League is going to start again today. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins has also put the same picture on his Insta story. The message has been given in this picture, which states that, “One billion people have joined again today. The Indian Army thank you for inspiring us all with its dearness.”
Why was IPL 2025 stopped?
On April 22, terrorists killed 26 people in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. In response, the Indian Army took a tough stand and run Operation Sindoor. The Indian Army had demolished several targets of terrorists including airbase in Pakistan. Even on 8 May, the army had stopped more than 50 Pakistan’s drones on the LoC on the LOC on the strengthening system.
Due to increasing tension between the two countries, the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals match to be held in Dharamshala on 8 May was stopped in the middle. For this reason, BCCI took a big decision and suspended IPL 2025 for a week. After much deliberation, it was decided that the tournament will start again from May 17 and now the final match will be played on June 3 instead of 25 May.
