S jaishankar on pakistani Leadership: On April 22, 2025, the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir exposed the real face of Pakistan. The terrorists killed 26 people by asking religion. External Affairs Minister S.K. Jaishankar described Pakistan’s leadership and especially his army chief Asim Munir as a very staunch person.
He said in an interview to the Netherlands media that the attack in Pahalgam was carried out by the terrorists of Pakistan and targeted people on the basis of Hinduism. He said, “After finding out his faith, 26 people were murdered in front of their families. To create religious differences, the element of religion was deliberately included and you have to see the Pakistani side to understand it. Their leadership, especially their army chief who is very religious staunch. So there is some relationship between thoughts and behavior expressed.”
Why India-Pakistan struggle started?
The Foreign Minister also said that the military conflict between India and Pakistan started after the Pahalgam terror attack. He said, “First of all you have to understand what was all. It started with a very barbaric terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 tourists were murdered in front of their families by asking religion. It was done to harm the tourism of the state and intentionally create religious discord.”
Asim Munir told Kashmir before the Pahalgam attack
At a conference of migrant Pakistanis in Islamabad on 16 April, he said, “It was our neccess, it is the vein of our throat, we will not forget it.” He urged the Pakistani people to tell stories to their children so that they do not forget that they are different from Hindus.
