Foreign Secretary Vikram Egyptian reached Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday (June 10, 2025). His visit was a followup of the meeting between External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which was held on 13 December 2024 in New Delhi. This information has been given by the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
According to the report by news agency ANI, Foreign Secretary Egypt held a bilateral meeting with UAE Minister of International Cooperation Reem Al Hashim to review a comprehensive strategic partnership between India and UAE during his visit. The discussion focused on increasing the scope of multidimensional bilateral partnership in various fields including business, investment, energy, culture, defense, technology, consulate matters.

Both sides agreed to work together on multilateral and international forums to promote mutual interests. A statement issued by the Indian Embassy said that he appreciated the support and solidarity given by the UAE leadership after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
According to the statement, the Foreign Secretary met the UAE Minister Nahayan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan. He thanked Nahyan for the care of 4.3 million Indians, who has made UAE his second home.
In particular, the Foreign Secretary also held a meeting with Ali Rashid Al Numi, a member of the UAE Federal National Council, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, extremism and violent extremism at Abu Dhabi. In this conversation, the shared determination of the two countries was discussed to fight terrorism.
