James Lawler, a former officer of America’s intelligence agency CIA, recalled the experiences of the early days of his spying career and told how he got the nickname Mad Dog, who was given the name of Pakistan’s A.I. James Lawler, former head of the CIA’s Counter-Proliferation Division, in an interview to news agency ANI, described in detail his role in uncovering and dismantling the global nuclear network linked to the Pakistani scientist.

James Lawler said how these covert operations ultimately led to A.I. Why. Took Khan’s proliferation network under its ambit. America had been monitoring Khan’s role in building Pakistan’s nuclear capability for years, but after a long time analysts realized that Khan had expanded his role to become a broadcaster at the international level. Lawler said the CIA had confirmed that Khan’s network was providing sensitive technology to several foreign programs. Responding to a question on Pakistani involvement, he said, ‘A. Why. James gave information about his early career
During the interview, James Lawler also gave information about his counter-proliferation career, which started in a beautiful alpine country. A country which was known for advanced technology and which was targeted by countries trying to make nuclear weapons. After returning to CIA headquarters in 1994, he was appointed head of the European Division’s Counter-Proliferation Office and later tasked with infiltrating and disrupting Iran’s nuclear weapons program.
