Former Kaiserganj MP Brijbhushan Sharan Singh on Wednesday alleged that he was removed from the Lok Sabha not by the public but as part of a conspiracy and once again expressed his resolve to return to the lower house. In a news channel’s ‘podcast’, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said his tenure was terminated midway and he was “humiliated and forced to step down.”
He said, “I was removed (from the Lok Sabha) not by the public, but as part of a conspiracy.” That’s why I will once again go among the public.” He said, ”The public will decide from where I will contest the elections. I will try to contest elections only on BJP ticket. If the party does not give the ticket, I will contest the elections as an independent candidate, but if I remain alive, I will definitely contest the elections.

On not receiving the invitation for the Pran Pratishtha Dwadashi program organized at the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh said that despite being a public representative, he was not invited, which will always be sad. He alleged that the real kar sevaks of the Ram Janmabhoomi movement were ignored, while those who had no contribution were invited. The BJP leader said that he has not yet gone for darshan of Ram Lalla and when he goes, he will stand in a queue like a common man and have darshan.
Recalling the period of allegations against him, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh said that at that time Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav did not give any statement against him, which he will never forget. He also said that at that time no statement had come against him from Bahujan Samaj Party, Janata Dal (United) and Rashtriya Janata Dal.
