South korea news: The government has emerged emergency after a huge fire in the forests at many places in the southern part of South Korea. So far, at least four people have died in this fire, while hundreds of people have been forced to leave their homes.
On Friday, firefighters are constantly making efforts to control the fire in the Southern County Sanchyong. Apart from this, there has been a fire in the forests in other three different areas of South Korea. According to Korea Forest Service, four people died and six others were injured in the fire in the Sanchyong. By Saturday night, only 25% of this fire could be controlled.
The forest agency said this in its statement
The forest agency has informed that the authorities have deployed hundreds of personnel and dozens of vehicles to extinguish the fire. So far, about 847 hectares of land has been burnt due to this horrific fire, while about 260 residents of Sanchyong area have been sent to safe places.
According to the Ministry of Internal and Security, about 620 people have to leave their homes on Saturday and take shelter in the shelter sites due to wildfire in the southeastern city of Ulsan and its nearby Gyongsang province.
The country is going through a difficult period
The ministry said that South Korea has declared a disaster situation in the southern regions of the country to raise resources to control the fire, as well as Sanchyong has been declared a special disaster area.
This fire spreads at a time when South Korea is going through the biggest political upheaval of decades. The crisis began in December after President Yu Suk Yeol declared a short -term martial law. Currently, Finance Minister Choi Song-Mok is leading the country as acting President.
