Actually, the UP government will give free LPG cylinders to the beneficiary women of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. This decision will benefit 1.85 crore women of the state, for which the government has also passed a budget of Rs 1385.34 crore.
However, along with the announcement of free cylinder, the government has also made it clear that if the beneficiary women do not complete a necessary work, then they will not get this gift on Diwali. This work is necessary for free cylinder
Women of Uttar Pradesh need to be registered under the Ujjwala scheme to get free cylinder on Diwali. Only registered women beneficiaries of Uttar Pradesh will get the benefit of this scheme. At the same time, to take advantage of this free cylinder scheme of the government, it is necessary to be named in the list of BPL family.
E KYC is also necessary
The government has also clarified that women whose Aadhaar verification and e KYC have not been completed. They will not get the benefit of free cylinder. For this, the deadline of 31 December has been fixed, which means that if a woman did not get E KYC or link Aadhaar card to the bank account, then they will not get the benefit of this scheme.
Which document is necessary?
To get the benefit of free cylinder, women’s Aadhaar card verification and e KYC must be completed. Apart from this, he should be named in BPL ration card or poverty line certificate. At the same time, there should be an active bank account of women linked to Ujjwala scheme. Apart from this, there should be residential certificate like ration card, voter ID or electricity bill. To avail the scheme, women should also have passport size photos. Apart from this, the Yogi government will distribute free LPG cylinders into two phases, in which the first phase will be completed from October to December 2025 and the second phase will be completed from January to March 2026.
