Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, this film opened the account with Rs 24 crores on the first day of its release. The film’s earning on the second day was Rs 18.6 crore. On the third day, Thama did a business of Rs 13 crore.

Talking about the collection of the film, ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ had earned Rs 337.4 crore in the first week. Its collection in the second week was Rs 147.85 crore. Its earning in the third week was Rs 78.85 crore.
