The Indian Premier League has given many star cricketers to world cricket. There are many players who were successful in making their mark in IPL. Talking about the last season, 14 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi and 17 year old Ayush Mhatre were such players who made their mark in the whole world through IPL. Now in IPL 2026 also, some players can make headlines with their strong performance.
1- Prashant Veer (Chennai Super Kings)
20 year old Prashant Veer will be seen in the role of Ravindra Jadeja in Chennai Super Kings. Chennai had never shown so much trust in young players before. This franchise saw the game of Prashant Veer during the trial and on this basis added him with a bid of Rs 14.20 crore.
Prashant Veer has played only 9 matches in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy so far. During this period, he has performed strongly with a bowling economy rate of 6.45 and a batting strike rate of more than 167.
2- Aaqib Nabi (Delhi Capitals)
Aaqib Nabi is 29 years old and cannot be called a young player but everyone will keep an eye on his performance. He has a good experience of 8 years in domestic cricket. However, Aaqib has not been able to debut in IPL yet. IPL 2026 will be very important for him, because with this he will also become a contender for a place in the Indian team.
3- Ashok Sharma (Gujarat Titans)
Ashok Sharma is one of the fastest young bowlers of India. He has been a part of Rajasthan Royals team earlier, but he has not got a chance to play in IPL yet. 23 year old Ashok Sharma will get a chance to play for Gujarat this year. He can put any batsman in trouble with his speed.
4- Tejaswi Dahiya (Kolkata Knight Riders)
Kolkata Knight Riders head coach Abhishek Nair’s protege Angkrish Raghuvanshi is being groomed as a batsman-wicketkeeper as he has already played a few seasons of the IPL. But 23-year-old Dahiya, who hails from Delhi, is also a talented player, who can give good results if given a consistent opportunity.
5- Naman Tiwari (Lucknow Super Giants)
There are very few good left-arm fast bowlers in India and Naman Tiwari, who will play in the Under-19 World Cup in 2024, has impressed everyone during the trials. This 20-year-old player regularly bowls at a speed of more than 140 kilometers per hour. He performed well for Noida Kings in the UP T20 League in 2024 and can be a useful option if needed.
6- Ravi Singh (Rajasthan Royals)
This 24 year old Railway player has shown his ability at the domestic level. Last year, he scored 218 runs for his team in SMAT at a strike rate of 173. His innings of 68 runs in 38 balls while chasing the target against Vidarbha was undoubtedly the most memorable. Vidarbha’s bowling attack included IPL players Yash Thakur, Harsh Dubey and Darshan Nalkande. Due to this innings, he got a contract of Rs 95 lakh from Rajasthan Royals and it will be interesting to see his performance in this season.
7- Shivang Kumar (Sunrisers Hyderabad)
Shivang, a 23-year-old player from Madhya Pradesh, is a left-arm wrist spinner, which makes him a rare talent. Kuldeep Yadav is such a bowler in the Indian team. While Kuldeep takes an angular run-up to reach the crease, Shivang’s run-up is more traditional and straight. He is also a useful lower-order batsman, but it remains to be seen whether Sunrisers head coach Daniel Vettori will be able to make a place for him in the playing eleven or not.
