In the Women’s Cricket World Cup, there is an important match between India and Pakistan next Sunday. Earlier on Thursday, Bangladesh defeated Pakistan and made a big upset in the match played at the R Premdasa Stadium in Colombo. In this match, former Pakistan captain Sana Mir used the word Azad Kashmir during the commentary, after which there was a ruckus. Strict rules have been made to include politics in the game of ICC, due to which there is now a demand that strict action be taken against Sana.
Many people are demanding on social media how Sana Mir or any Azad Kashmir can use the word, they dragged political issues into sports and because of this they should have strict action. Many people are demanding a ban on them for a lifetime from commentary.
Why did Sana Mir say Azad Kashmir?
While commenting during the Pakistan vs Bangladesh match, Sana Mir said that cricketer Natalia Parvez is from Azad Kashmir. This is a disputed statement to say this. For political purpose, the part of Kashmir in Pakistan is called Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK), but Pakistan calls it Azad Kashmir. While the lives of the people of PoK have become like hell, the people there constantly demonstrate against Pakistan. Now it has to be seen what action the ICC takes on it? What does Sana Mir say to the ICC that she happened unknowingly with them or she is adamant on her point.
