The craze for sub-4 meter SUVs has increased rapidly in the Indian automobile market in the last few years. In this segment, vehicles like Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV300 are already quite popular. The biggest feature of these cars is that their size is compact, their price is not too high and they look completely like SUVs. Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift
Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch a new facelift model of its popular compact SUV Brezza. This vehicle has been seen many times during testing. The company may replace the existing 1.5 liter petrol engine with a 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine. This could be the same engine which is used in Maruti Frontex Turbo. With this, the option of 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission is expected.
SUV based on Renault Bridger concept
Renault has recently shown a glimpse of its new Bridger Concept SUV. This can be a vehicle with a strong and compact design. The company is preparing to introduce it soon. This SUV can be given a 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine which can give a power of about 100 horsepower. Both manual and CVT transmission options can be found in it. Its length may be less than 4 meters. After coming into the market, it can compete with many popular compact SUVs.
Mahindra Vision X
Mahindra is also working on its new SUV Vision It could be a vertical crossover whose design could be similar to the company’s existing electric SUV XEV 9e. This vehicle can be built on Mahindra’s new NU_IQ platform. After launch, this SUV can give direct competition to the upcoming vehicles like Hyundai Venue and Tata Nexon.
Skoda Kailak Sportline
Skoda is also preparing to add a new Sportline variant to its Kylaq SUV. Sporty design will be seen in this variant. Many design elements of black color can be given in it, which will make the vehicle look more attractive. Currently, Kylaq is available in several trims, but the Sportline variant may come with different styling and features.
Winfast VF3
Vietnam’s electric car company VinFast is also preparing to launch its small electric SUV VF3 in the Indian market. Its design will be compact and tall-boy style. It can get a ground clearance of about 191 mm. This SUV will run on 18.6 kWh battery and can give a power of about 43.5 horsepower. Its price can be between Rs 8 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. The company can launch it next year in 2027.
