Lakhs of cars are sold every month in the country, but there are some models which consistently remain the first choice of customers. The latest data for the month of November shows that Tata, Maruti and Hyundai cars have once again performed well in sales. Let us know which five cars were most in demand in India?
Tata Nexon
- Tata Nexon has once again achieved the top position in terms of sales in November 2025. 22,434 units of this SUV were sold, making it the number-1 car in the country. The popularity of Nexon is continuously increasing because it comes with strong safety rating, all three powertrain options like petrol-diesel-EV and new design and tech features. Its sales also recorded a growth of 46% year-on-year, which is proof of its strong hold.
Maruti Dzire
- Maruti Dzire continues to maintain its identity in the compact sedan segment. It sold 21,082 units in November 2025, making it the second best-selling car in the country. The main reasons for the popularity of Dzire are its high mileage, comfortable cabin and low maintenance cost. There was a huge jump of 79% in its sales year-on-year, which shows the strong demand for this sedan.
Maruti Swift
- Maruti Swift remains the favorite hatchback of Indian families and youth. Last month it stood at third position with sales of 19,733 units. Swift remains in demand because it offers a great combination of sporty design, refined engine and excellent mileage. Swift sales have registered an increase of 34% on YOY basis.
Tata Punch
- Tata Punch, despite being a micro SUV, feels like a big SUV. Its 18,753 units were sold in November, making it fourth in this list. The reason for increasing demand for Punch is its 5-star safety, better design and affordable price. There has been a growth of 21% in its sales year-on-year, which makes it an even better option for the customers.
Hyundai Creta
- Hyundai Creta has been among the best selling SUVs of India for many months. Last month, 17,344 units were sold, due to which it stood at fifth position. The highlight of Creta is its feature-loaded cabin, smooth driving experience and multiple engine options. Its sales have also registered a growth of 12% on YOY basis.
